Compact Resources Pte Ltd is established in 2000 by Mr. Daniel Boo and Mr. Desmond Khor. Compact Resources started as a trading company supplying insulation material from Singapore to Vietnam.

In 2001, Compact Resources Pte Ltd Singapore office sets up a Representative office in Vietnam. With the knowledge of ceiling and partition system, Compact Resources together with a local company Vinh Tuong Industrial Corporation (VTI) design and manufacture metal frames for ceiling and partition system exporting it to the region.

In the same year, Compact Resources Pte Ltd was appointed the sole distributor for the export business for ceiling and partition system by Vinh Tuong Private Business in Vietnam.

In 2005, Compact Resources joint venture with Vinh Tuong Industrial Corporation (VTI) and Universal Cement Corporation to set up a gypsum board manufacturing plant in Vietnam to cater to the growing demands in South East Asia market which was subsequently sold.
Since then Compact Resources Pte Ltd partnered with Universal Cement Corporation (UCC) and Vinh Tuong Industrial Corporation (VTI) for supplies of gypsum boards and ceiling & partition systems respectively in the South East Asia region.

In 2008, the joint venture sets up VTJ (Singapore) Pte Ltd, a steel stud and track manufacturing factory in Singapore to facilitate and accommodate the growing demand in the region.

In the same year, Compact Resources has attained ISO 9001 : 2000 for
quality management system, ISO 14001 : 2004 for environmental management system and BS OHSAS 18001 : 2007 for occupational health
and safety management system.

In 2009, Compact Resources managed to get approval to use GreenLabel from Singapore Green Labelling Scheme (SGLS) as our products are made from 90% recycled gypsum.

Compact Resources Pte Ltd has been enjoying exponential growth with presence in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar, Taiwan, Japan and U.A.E since it first started in 2000.
